Baseball Recap: Manchester Regional Victorious

Manchester Regional's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Lions get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

Angel Gonzalez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrian Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Carlos Moreno, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Manchester Regional's win bumped their record up to 3-10-1. As for Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.
