A well-balanced attack led Estero over Riverdale in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Raiders out of the water with a 64-23 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-11.

Leading Estero to victory were Allison Norris and Amiya Lewis. Norris shot 73% from the field to rack up 23 points and six rebounds, while Lewis almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Lewis a new career-high in assists (eight). Another player making a difference was London Woods, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Estero was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverdale only posted seven.

Despite the defeat, Riverdale saw an underclassman step up: freshman BreElla Wakkinen earned six points.

Estero has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Estero didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-25 win against Fort Myers on the 20th. As for Riverdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 39-32 loss against Cape Coral on the 20th.
