Recap: San Benito Greyhounds vs. Pioneer Diamondbacks
The San Benito Greyhounds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 45-38 to Pioneer.
Pioneer was led to victory by Edward Chavez and Joshua E Gaither. Chavez scored 13 points along with six rebounds, while E Gaither scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Maldonado, who scored eight points.
San Benito has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Pioneer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.
San Benito will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against La Feria at 7:30 p.m. La Feria is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Pioneer is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
