Basketball Recap: Pine River-Backus Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Pine River-Backus, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Verndale Pirates by a score of 75-62 on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Pine River-Backus' victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Verndale, they now also have a losing record of 12-13.

Pine River-Backus wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 84-49 defeat against Nevis on the 8th. Verndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
