Basketball Game Preview: South Rowan Raiders vs. South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls + Official Tickets

The South Rowan Raiders and the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Rowan has given up an average of 64 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

South Rowan is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Northwest Cabarrus on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Raiders were dealt a 76-46 defeat at the hands of the Trojans. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Rowan's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Anderson Pauley, who posted 14 points, and Maverick Morgan, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for South Stanly, as they earned their first away win of the season. They claimed a resounding 66-32 victory over South Davidson. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

South Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for South Stanly, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

South Rowan suffered a grim 64-42 defeat to South Stanly in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
