Basketball Recap: Family Christian Academy Mustangs vs. Dunbar Tigers
The Family Christian Academy Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 73-19 loss at the hands of Dunbar. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Family Christian Academy has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dunbar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kobey Babernitch, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Babernitch has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Clarence Alexander, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Family Christian Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Dunbar, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-14.
Family Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dunbar won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Palmetto Ridge is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
