Softball Game Preview: Randolph Rockets vs. Hastings Raiders

The Randolph Rockets are taking a road trip to take on the Hastings Raiders at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Randolph is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Randolph's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Kenzie Murray was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Davis, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Randolph hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Hastings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Hill-Murray.

Randolph's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Hastings, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
