Basketball Recap: Atwater Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Atwater and Antelope squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Atwater had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 74-44 loss at the hands of the Antelope Titans. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-13.

It was another big night for Malichai Brown, who went 9-for-13 to rack up 22 points in addition to seven boards and three steals for Antelope. Brown continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Quentin Mitchell, who went 7-for-8 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds.

Atwater's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Antelope, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-9.

Atwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Antelope, they have already played their next matchup, a 68-45 loss against Destiny Christian Academy on the 21st.
