Baseball Recap: Weiser Comes Up Short

Weiser fell victim to Payette and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Payette Pirates, falling 8-0. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Weiser got a good showing from Kaghen Cluff, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Weiser's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Payette, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-3 record.

While Weiser had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
