Soccer Recap: Maine South Takes a Loss

After flying high against Maine East last Thursday, Maine South came back down to earth. The Hawks fell 3-1 to the Boylan Catholic Titans on Saturday. If Maine South were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to Boylan Catholic when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Maine South's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Boylan Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-2 record this season.

Maine South didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Wheaton-Warrenville South on the 12th. As for Boylan Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 5-3 defeat against Warren Township on the 12th.
