Volleyball Recap: Spooner Rails vs. Unity Eagles
Spooner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Unity Eagles, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rails have suffered since September 23rd.
While Spooner ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-21.
Unity was led to victory by Elizabeth Jerrick and Katelyn Kahler. Jerrick had 23 digs and four assists, while Kahler had ten digs and three aces. That's the most digs Jerrick has posted since back in October of 2024.
Spooner's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Unity, their victory bumped their record up to 24-13.
Coming up, Spooner will venture away from home to square off against Ladysmith at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Unity does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
