The Fort Walton Beach Vikings will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Gulf Shores Dolphins on Friday. Fort Walton Beach is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Two weeks ago, Fort Walton Beach didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Choctawhatchee, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win.

Fort Walton Beach's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from SaRuan Newton, who posted 19 points. Newton's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alyx Hall, who put up 11 points.

Meanwhile, everything went Gulf Shores' way against West Florida Baptist Academy on Saturday as Gulf Shores made off with a 64-44 victory.

Gulf Shores now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Fort Walton Beach, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.

Fort Walton Beach and Gulf Shores were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in November, but Fort Walton Beach came up empty-handed after a 68-67 loss. Can Fort Walton Beach avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
