Basketball Recap: Calhoun Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jai'lynn Boots and Farrah Garcia

Calhoun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Gonzales Apaches an easy 52-30 win.

Calhoun's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Farrah Garcia, who posted 11 points, and Jai'Lynn Boots, who earned seven points.

Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Gonzales, they moved to 12-14 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Calhoun will be playing in front of their home fans against Victoria East at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Gonzales and Smithville will compete for holiday cheer at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
