Basketball Recap: Clayton Takes a Loss

Clayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 79-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corinth Holders Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, with their most recent loss being a 48-46 defeat last Tuesday.

Clayton's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Corinth Holders, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-10.

Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corinth Holders, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South Garner at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in South Garner's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
