Baseball Recap: L.E.A.D. Academy Takes a Loss

L.E.A.D. Academy started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Pine Forest. They lost 17-7 to the Eagles on Thursday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

L.E.A.D. Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Badejo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Hunter Chance also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

L.E.A.D. Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Pine Forest, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-19-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. L.E.A.D. Academy will take on Booker T. Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pine Forest, they will challenge Escambia at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
