Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mckenzie Chapman and Emma Tinder Lead Zionsville to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pike, Zionsville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the North Central Panthers by a score of 54-43. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 58-55 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading Zionsville to victory were Emma Tinder and Mckenzie Chapman. Tinder went 5 of 10 en route to 20 points, while Chapman dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Chapman has posted since back in November of 2023. Another player making a difference was Emily Zack, who posted seven points.

Zionsville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for North Central, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Zionsville will take on Noblesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Noblesville will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Zionsville surely won't give up without a fight. North Central has already played their next contest (against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
