Football Game Preview: CenTex HomeSchool Chargers vs. Grace Academy

The CenTex HomeSchool Chargers will venture away from home to face off against Grace Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. CenTex HomeSchool has given up an average of 33.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, CenTex HomeSchool came up short against Williamson County HomeSchool and fell 62-50. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

CenTex HomeSchool's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jadin Arrington, who gained 194 total yards and three touchdowns, and Scott Dosa, who gained 171 total yards and four touchdowns. With that strong performance, Arrington is now averaging an impressive 109.3 rushing yards per game.

CenTex HomeSchool didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cyrus Sprinkle and Micah Cheek.

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last game, Grace Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Winston on Friday. Grace Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Winston 45-0. Considering Grace Academy has won three contests by more than 44 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Grace Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for CenTex HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

CenTex HomeSchool and Grace Academy were almost perfectly matched up when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but CenTex HomeSchool suffered an agonizing 74-73 defeat. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
