Volleyball Recap: Solomon Comes Up Short

Solomon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canton-Galva Eagles. If the Gorillas were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-14.

Canton-Galva found their leader in sophomore Londyn Dietrich, who had eight digs and three aces.

Solomon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-19-3. As for Canton-Galva, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Solomon is set to challenge their familiar foe Herington on Thursday. Meanwhile, Canton-Galva will square off against rival Little River on Saturday.
