Basketball Recap: West Johnston Comes Up Short

If West Johnston was feeling good fresh off their 50-23 takedown of South Johnston last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Johnston Wildcats lost to the C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons on the road by a 61-42 margin on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Golden Falcons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 51-32 loss last Friday.

Audrey Teasley was her usual excellent self, putting up 22 points along with six steals and five assists for C.B. Aycock. Teasley has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Zakayla Sanders was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

West Johnston's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-14. As for C.B. Aycock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

As of now, neither West Johnston nor C.B. Aycock have any future games scheduled.
