Basketball Recap: Boys Town Comes Up Short

Boys Town lost against Cornerstone Christian School back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Boys Town Cowboys took a hard 31-16 fall against the Cornerstone Christian School Cougars. The Cowboys just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Defeat or not, Boys Town got some senior leadership from Ava Levering and Molly Mcmahon. Levering posted seven points along with 13 boards and four steals, while Mcmahon earned a point in addition to nine rebounds, four steals, and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Mcmahon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Starr Mills, who scored six points and five rebounds.

Boys Town's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Cornerstone Christian School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

Boys Town wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-25 defeat against Brownell Talbot on the 8th. As for Cornerstone Christian School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-30 victory against Omaha Christian Academy on the 8th.
