Langley hadn't done well against McLean recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Saxons never let the Highlanders get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's more bragging rights for Langley, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Corinne Fisher, who's now up to four this season.

Langley's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-1. As for McLean, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record.

Coming up, Langley will welcome Mount Vernon at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for McLean, they will head out to challenge South County at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. South County's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
