Baseball Recap: Shoals Comes Up Short

Shoals lost to South Knox back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jug Rox lost 21-1 to the Spartans.

Shoals saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Wininger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Wininger is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Shoals' record now sits at 0-10. As for South Knox, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Shoals will face off against Evansville Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Knox, they will host Vincennes Rivet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
