Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds at home by a 59-42 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-47 back in December of 2024.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Edsel Ford, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-10.

Roosevelt and Edsel Ford could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Roosevelt will square off against Lincoln Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday down 570 places (656 vs. 86). Meanwhile, Edsel Ford (ranked 374th) will meet Allen Park (ranked 150th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
