It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Fort Dale Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They snuck past the Edgewood Academy Wildcats with a 60-56 win. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Edgewood Academy still got an impressive performance from Lexie Smith, who posted 42 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Smith is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played.

Fort Dale Academy pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Edgewood Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10.
