Soccer Game Preview: Greeley Central vs. Severance

The Greeley Central Wildcats will face off against the Severance Silver Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Greeley Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Greeley Central turned things around against Berthoud on Thursday. Neither they nor the Spartans could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Greeley Central's goal came courtesy of Rory Weizenegger, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Severance's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 2-0 to Timnath.

Greeley Central's draw gives them a new season record of 2-7-2. As for Severance, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3-1.
