The Ellet Orangemen are taking a road trip to square off against the McKinley Bulldogs at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Ellet is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.2 runs per game this season.

While Ellet didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against North on Wednesday as they made off with a 19-2 victory. The Orangemen haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Andrew Muckleroy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Muckleroy was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. That run marked the first that he scored this season.

In other batting news, Ellet got a massive performance out of Keaton McKeel, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Josh Sims, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

Ellet always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .652. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

While McKinley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past Tuslaw 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Ellet's record is now 4-1. As for McKinley, their record now sits at 6-2.

Ellet suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to McKinley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Orangemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
