Basketball Recap: Cooper Smith Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat College Prep of America + How To Watch

After losing to College Prep of America the last time they met, Schaumburg Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Conquerors walked away with a 56-45 win over the Thunder on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Conquerors.

Schaumburg Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cooper Smith led the charge by putting up 18 points. Those 18 points gave Smith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Krystian Bogacz, who posted 17 points and five rebounds.

Schaumburg Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

College Prep of America's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kareem Ismail, who had 18 points. Rayyan Sozzer was another key player, earning 13 points.

The victory got Schaumburg Christian back to even at 3-3. As for College Prep of America, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schaumburg Christian will face off against Hiawatha at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for College Prep of America, they will be home for the holidays to greet MCC at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
