Basketball Game Preview: Defiance Bulldogs vs. Maumee Panthers

The Defiance Bulldogs will take on the Maumee Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Maumee took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Defiance, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Defiance needed a bit of extra time to put away Van Wert. They walked away with a 53-45 win over the Cougars. The score was all tied up 18-18 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

Maumee has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-60 heartbreaker at the hands of Genoa Area.

Defiance's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9. As for Maumee, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
