Football Game Preview: Logan Chieftains vs. Lancaster Golden Gales

The Logan Chieftains will challenge the Lancaster Golden Gales at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 15 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Logan and five for Lancaster.

Logan's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Reynoldsburg on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Raiders. The shutout was out of character for the Chieftains seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Meanwhile, Lancaster played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Pickerington Central 63-27. While losing is never fun, the Golden Gales can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Tigers are ranked 15th).

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Logan lost to Lancaster on the road by a decisive 20-6 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Chieftains avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
