Softball Recap: Palos Verdes Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Palos Verdes entered their tilt with Wiseburn- Da Vinci on Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They never let the Wolves get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Sea Kings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Adela Randazzo was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Candela, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Palos Verdes' victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palos Verdes will face off against Carson at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Colts' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Sea Kings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they will challenge St. Monica at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
