It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but York Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the North Central Knights 2-1. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Clay Cooper was the driving force of York Prep's attack as he scored both of York Prep's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

York Prep pushed their record up to 4-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. York Prep will welcome Lewisville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewisville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something York Prep surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Central, they will host Cheraw at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cheraw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.
