Preview: Round Valley Mustangs vs. Anderson Valley Panthers
Round Valley is 9-1 against Anderson Valley since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Round Valley Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Anderson Valley Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Round Valley suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Point Arena, falling 89-37. Round Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-21.
Meanwhile, Anderson Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 77-15 loss at the hands of Point Arena. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Anderson Valley has scored all season.
Round Valley now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Anderson Valley, they bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Round Valley against Anderson Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 65-33 win. Will Round Valley repeat their success, or does Anderson Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
