Minco took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Crescent, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs skirted past the Tigers 7-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bryson Bates was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Minco was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Minco's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Crescent, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minco will challenge Southwest Covenant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crescent, they will venture away from home to face off against Fairview at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
