Basketball Recap: Green Canyon Wolves vs. Sky View Bobcats
The Green Canyon Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 56-36 defeat at the hands of Sky View. Green Canyon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Green Canyon had strong showings from Talyssa Nelson, who scored 12 points, and Tori Jeppson, who scored nine points.
Claire Fischer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sky View, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fischer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Flaherty, who scored ten points.
Green Canyon dropped their record down to 9-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sky View, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Canyon will take on the Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bear River focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Sky View, they will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
