Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Troy). Everything went their way against the Avondale Yellowjackets on Tuesday as they made off with a 28-9 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Colts sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Troy pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.3 runs over those games. As for Avondale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will welcome Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Avondale, they will host Southfield Arts & Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
