Baseball Recap: Independence/Gilmanton Indees vs. Augusta Beavers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Independence/Gilmanton). Everything went their way against the Augusta Beavers on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-4 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Indees considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Eric Lopez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Independence/Gilmanton's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 2-6 when he doesn't).
