Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Beats Corona for Their Third Straight Win

Roosevelt had won two straight games and Max Lopez did his part to make it three on Thursday. Roosevelt blew past the Corona Panthers 3-0 for which the team can thank Lopez, who had six digs and two aces. What's more, he posted three assists, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-15.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Corona, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will head out on the road to challenge Rancho Cucamonga at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Rancho Cucamonga has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Corona, they will take on Hawthorne Math & Science Academy in a tournament on Saturday. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Corona surely won't give up without a fight.
