Baseball Recap: Mount Ayr Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Mount Ayr never let their opponents score on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Sidney Cowboys with a sharp 13-0 win. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Mount Ayr is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Sidney, they dropped their record down to 2-13-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Mount Ayr will head out to face off against Bedford on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. Sidney does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
