Calhoun skates past Burnet with ease

Recap: Calhoun Sandcrabs vs. Burnet Bulldogs
The Calhoun Sandcrabs extended their postseason success on Friday against the Burnet Bulldogs. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 42-14 at home. Calhoun might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matches by 26 points or more this season.
Calhoun's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Parker, who rushed for 79 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Parker was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards. Jayce Campos was another key contributor, rushing for 133 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory (which was Calhoun's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Burnet, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Calhoun will take on Alice at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alice knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Calhoun likes a good challenge. Burnet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
