Football Recap: Mazama Takes a Loss

Mazama was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 24-14 to the Hidden Valley Mustangs. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Mazama lost, don't look at Brody Mahon. Despite the final result, he rushed for 134 yards and one touchdown.

Mazama's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Hidden Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Mazama has already played their next game, a 40-14 defeat against North Bend on the 17th. As for Hidden Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-8 loss against Marshfield on the 17th.
