Softball Recap: Hamilton Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Hamilton barely beat Sycamore the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Big Blue's pitchers stepped up to hand the Aviators a 12-0 shutout on Monday. Considering the Big Blue have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Hamilton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Sycamore, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hamilton will venture away from home to square off against Springboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sycamore, they will head out to take on Archbishop McNicholas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aviators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
