Volleyball Game Preview: Andover Golden Warriors vs. Franklin Panthers

Andover has won four straight games at home, while Franklin has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Golden Warriors will welcome the Panthers at 12:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Andover is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Bishop Feehan.

While Andover won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 25-22.

Andover can attribute much of their success to Ella Niles, who had ten digs and two aces. Those ten digs gave Niles a new career-high.

Niles wasn't the only good servers: Andover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Franklin faced Lincoln-Sudbury in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Panthers blew past the Warriors 3-0.

Franklin was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-14.

Andover's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.
