Recap: Shannon Red Raiders vs. Ripley Tigers
The Shannon Red Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Ripley by a score of 59-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Alorian Story was her usual excellent self, scoring 40 points for Ripley. The team also got some help courtesy of Somonie Knox, who scored eight points.
Shannon has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Ripley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-13.
Shannon will take on Calhoun City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun City is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road. As for Ripley, they will square off against West Point at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
