The biggest upset of the week belonged to Ravenscroft, who defeated 214th ranked Harrells Christian Academy, 31-20.
North Raleigh Christian Academy took down Fayetteville Christian 39-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Richard Landis threw for 219 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 10 yards in the win.
Jacob Jerrett made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Knights topped Fayetteville Christian. The 5-foot-11 defensive back nabbed 1 interception.
He was 11-29 with 1 interception.
Landis put up the best numbers through the air as North Raleigh Christian Academy beat Bruce McClelland's team. Landis' favorite target this week was Daniel Rose, who caught 8 passes for 169 yards.
Leading NCISAA Big East in both passing and receiving yards, Rich Landis' team's Landis and Rose have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Landis has thrown for 1,883 yards this season, while Rose has 79 catches for 1,041 yards. The Crusaders' Kelly Nelms leads the league in rushing yards with 1,112.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Harrells Christian Academy takes on second place Wake Christian Academy. Last week, Harrells Christian Academy fell to the Ravens, while Wake Christian Academy defeated Cannon.
Brian Aldridge's team's Sammy Dixon needs only 8 yards against the Bulldogs next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 101 carries Dixon has put up 992 yards this year.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Crusaders and Wake Christian Academy face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Harrells Christian Academy comes in having scored 378 this season, while Stephen Cochran's team has scored 223. The Crusaders scored 20 points last week as they fell to Ravenscroft.
The Knights led the league in scoring this week after putting up 39 points on Fayetteville Christian. Landis ran for 10 yards during the win.
