Mifflin has gone 8-2 against East recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mifflin Punchers will host the East Tigers at 7:00 p.m. East took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Mifflin, who comes in off a win.

Mifflin will head into Wednesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big back in December of 2024 (they won by 23) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 win over Linden-McKinley. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Punchers have posted since January 9, 2024.

Mifflin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Jarrett, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 18 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Azikiye Moore, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds.

Mifflin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, East lost to Northland on the road by a 64-46 margin on Wednesday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mifflin pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for East, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Mifflin didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against East when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 60-54 win. Does Mifflin have another victory up their sleeve, or will East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
