Basketball Game Preview: Peekskill Red Devils vs. Greeley Quakers

The Peekskill Red Devils will head out to take on the Greeley Quakers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Monday, Peekskill opened the new year with a less-than-successful 49-36 defeat to Lakeland.

Greeley had taken Scarsdale down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Quakers fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 54-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Quakers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Raiders are ranked 577th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Greeley fell to 5-1. As for Peekskill, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Peekskill was taken down by Greeley 87-60 when the teams last played back in February of 2019. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
