Basketball Game Preview: Chase Kats vs. Otis-Bison Cougars

Chase is on a 14-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Otis-Bison a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Chase Kats will host the Otis-Bison Cougars. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Chase was beaten by St. John 90-20. While losing is never fun, the Kats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Tigers are ranked 72nd).

Meanwhile, Otis-Bison took a blow against Central Plains on Tuesday, falling 57-28.

Defeat or not, Otis-Bison got some senior leadership from Briana Croisant and Destiny Mitchell. Croisant posted 12 points and six boards, while Mitchell put up seven points and five rebounds.

Otis-Bison's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Chase, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Chase was taken down by Otis-Bison 66-30 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Chase avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
