Baseball Recap: Palm Harbor University Triumphs

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Palm Harbor University ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top against the Olympia Titans by a score of 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hurricanes.

Kasey Mink was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Cannon McGuire also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Palm Harbor University kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Palm Harbor University's record now sits at 13-9. As for Olympia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Palm Harbor University will square off against Northeast at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Olympia, they will challenge Spruce Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
