Baseball Game Preview: Wright City Wildcats vs. Hallsville Indians

The Wright City Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Hallsville Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wright City has three straight wins, Hallsville has 12 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

It was a proper cat-fight when Wright City faced off against Mark Twain on Tuesday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 16-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hallsville fell victim to Fatima and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets.

Wright City's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Hallsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything went Wright City's way against Hallsville when the teams last played back in April of 2022, as Wright City made off with a 7-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
