Troup entered their tilt with Edgewood on Friday with 12 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 13. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 19 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Taylor Gillispie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Troup pushed their record up to 25-5 with the win, which was their 19th straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Edgewood, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-10-1.

Troup will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
